Avalon INDI Driver commands was created by ken.self
Hi,
I would like to do some work on the Avalon INDI driver to make it fully featured. This would help people who are running on Linux only and cannot use the Windows interface.
I am one of the developers who work on the current driver. The only thing stopping me bringing in all features is that I have not been able to work out all the commands and responses for the mount.
I also noticed that the startup command sequence has changed in the latest firmware.
Are you able to share the command set?

Thanks for your work on the Avalon INDI driver, this is really helpful to extend the Avalon Instruments product compatibility with other operative system such as Lynux and allow more user to enjoy our products.
The StarGo Software command has a particular interaction with the Firmware buffer that manage the use of the USB, the Keypad, the Wi-Fi and the Bluetooth interaction that only the firmware developer knows.
In order to avoid accidentaly system crush, that may occur developing on the basis of the Command List without this kind of background, please let us know which is the specific function that you would like to develop, so we can do our best to provide to you all the support including the commands you need and they’re explanation.

The functionality I want to provide is as follows:
a) Ability to set center and find speeds. I know the command for setting these values but I cannot work out the command to get the current settings from the mount to display
b) Ability to set the mount type (M-Uno, M-Zero, Linear etc) for initial configuration. I have most of the commands but need to understand the correct procedure e.g. when to restart the mount
c) Confirm the correct starting commands when the mount is first connected. I can see the starting commands sent from the Windows StarGo driver to my M-Uno but don't know what some of the commands are or if they are needed for correct operation. List of unknown commands is attached
d) Provide complete focuser functions for AUX1 and AUX2(I think this is nearly done already for AUX1)
I am also removing the dependency on the old LX200 driver code. You can see the current state of the driver in my repo at:
github.com/ken-self/indi-3rdparty/tree/stargo/indi-avalon

Thanks Ken for working on the Avalon INDI driver and thanks Stefano for provinding Ken with information that can make the Avalon INDI driver better.
I have recently acquired a M-Uno Dual and have been working with kstars/EKOS/INDI under Ubuntu Linux for some time, where I feel at home
so any improvement is much appreciated.
