The version I used for testing the iPad and Android is 1.4.4. This version is still in beta stage. However ASI informed me that it will be available in the app stores in few days.

Thank you, Mauro; this is very encouraging. So many of the features of the ASIAir work, but the mount is not responding to commands from the ASIAir for Polar Align or Plate Solve, and I can't tell if it is actually guiding, or the mount is just so accurate the stars are not drifting. For sure, if the advertised ASIAir functions all work now, it will enormously simplify astrophotography. I'll keep looking on the App site.

Hello all, I'm new here. I own a Linear StarGo and try to get it to work with my ASIair V.1.
So yesterday ZWO published the public beta of version 1.4.4. Has anyone tried it yet? In my case it made a good PA with the StarGo driver but then i had problems with the goto... I told the mount to go to Arcturus for focusing but it went completely wrong. I told it to go back to home position and RA landed about 45 degrees too far off. DEC worked fine, just RA was completely messed up. I tried a lot of gotos with unplugging, restarting, synching etc. but after ours I was still clueless. Did I do anything wrong? Is it necessary to setup the mount via StarGo driver on PC?
Greetings,
Julian

Hi Julian,
I'm playing with the new version of ASIair and may confirm that it work well with StarGO. I'm using the Pro version of ASIair hardware, but I believe that the software is exactly the same for v.1. However, at the beginning of my testing with this application, I did some tweaks to the StarGO setup to have the mount working correctly. I did this using a PC as you suspected but, if you use Android and own the Bluetooth version of StarGO, you can use also the StarGO_BT application for Android, available in the Avalon Instrument site. In particular I tried several crossed combinations of the Reverse RA and DEC directions until I got the correct one. StarGO will keep this combination.

Hi Mauro,
yesterday night I did exactly what you propose and finally solved it. It was late, but I had perfect goto and the mount performed great. It was the checkboxes for reverse RA and DEC, both were checked, which is wrong. Made three 5min shots on M51 and went to bed happily.
Would have expected that the PC Stargo settings are overwritten by the ASIair Indi-Stargo-driver. But that's not the case.
Thanks a lot, problem solved,
Greetings,
Julian
