Went through the Update now and tried to upload the new Linear file. There is now a runtime error: type mismatch so I can't configure it...

Thanks so much Stefano for sending me a new MCF for the Avalon Linear. I have successfully installed everything and the mount now moves in the right directions. Problem solved!
