iPolar adapter for M-Zero was created by ducksoup87
As you might know, the iPolar is an electronic polar finder, similar to the PoleMaster.
AFAIK, the existing PoleMaster adapter for the M-Zero is not mechanically compatible with the iPolar, so I was wondering if anybody knows about possible alternatives.

I know duct-taping the iPolar could be enough (I've seen this done with other mounts...), but maybe there's a more "stable" solution?

Hi,
see my post in Luicano´s "share your setup"
www.avalon-instruments.com/forum/welcome...our-setup?start=6#74
You need to order the adapter for CEM60, but the EXTERNAL one! (not the internal version)
part no: #3339A-XXX or #3339R-SGP
I glued it, works perfect.

Thanks Peter, that looks like a good solution!
I'm actually working on a 3D printed adapter that can be attached to the two screw holes located on one of the L-shaped bars. The idea is to be able to polar align while the scope and counterweight are already mounted. I'll post a picture when it's done!

....then I´ll be interested in either the plan or the print :))
...for best accuracy as far as possible from the RA-center....?

I think a good place to mount a polar cam other than on the fixed M0 dovetails, is on the non-rotating round, lower portion between the two DEC axis clamps. The diameter of this is ~78 mm which is the same as ZWO cameras, so you can use their camera holder clamp and simply fasten your ipolar, sharpcap cam or Polemaster adapter to the holder using a diy adapter plate. See pic of holder on M0, it fits perfectly. I’m planning to use a small piece of Al flat bar as a connector plate that I will fix to the threaded holes on the ZWO holder and then tap holes to screw a Polemaster adapter to.

I worked out I don’t need to make an adapter plate. I have a Polemaster universal adapter from Cyclops Optics, I fitted a 1/4” photo adapter into it and then used a 1/4” set screw to fix the universal adapter to the ZWO camera holder - all done! PM is held firmly in place and I can now monitor polar alignment during an imaging session if I want to. I’m sure something similar can be figured out for the iPolar...
