Confused about versions was created by MRPUGH55
I downloaded StarGo 640 SP8 today and installed it. So my system now is configured as follows (M-Zero equatorial)

StarGo V7.0.9
Firmware 6.5.6
ASCOM V 7.1.2.6
But now it is telling my my firmware is obsolete and I should upgrade to ver 7.0.....i cannot find that file anywhere in the installation folder or on your website.
Please advise
Martin

Hi Martin

The installer comes with the corresponding firmware pre-installed.

As described in the corresponding download page linked below:
www.avalon-instruments.com/support-2/sup...y/2-software-and-app

The correct configuration for the StarGo_640_SP8.exe is the following one:

- StarGo.exe 7.0.9
- Firmware 6.4.0
- ASCOM Driver 7.1.2.6

The firmware can be found by clicking on the "Firmware Upload" button -> SYSTEM tab

Best regards

Dear Avalon team and Avalon mount users..

I have to admit that all the different Stargo and firmware update's and versions are VERY confusing...

I have a M-ZERO mount, when I look at the support page, my firmware version has to be 6.4.0..

But when I look at my own Stargo dashboard it has firmware version 7.0.0... and find out now that it is only for EVO-ZERO mounts...

(I gues something is wrong, can I downgrade to the right firmware from 7.0.0 to 6.4.0 ?)

(Does the firmware 7.0.0 has bad effects for my M-ZERO ?)

EDIT: I managed to downgrade te firmware version..  FIXED !!

Also I found out that on some of my capturing devices, when I connect to PHD2 and after that to NINA, I get 2 different requests for selecting a com port,
and after that I get errors from PHD2 : PulseGuide command to mount has failed and ¨callibration failed star did not move enough".

I tried to run the STARGO software with and without admin rights..

FIXED : fresh install from clean W10, NO ADMIN rights, did solve the problem so far !!!

Thnx for reading...
