I have been using the Avalon Instruments Linear Fast Reverse since September 2013. I got it as a replacement for my HEQ5 as it was the simplest change over, requiring next to no changes in software, knowledge or hardware. It has been a fantastic mount. I have used it at short focal lengths (330mm) and also at longer 2.3m focal lengths. In a year I have not dropped a single sub due to guiding issues, even at such a long focal length. This mount is reliable and as most of my exposures are 30 minutes long, this is astounding in my opinion. My stars are round and I have utter confidence that this mount will deliver night after night.
