Description
The StarGo2 Pro, is a based on a completely new approach for controlling the mounts. It is centered around the well-known Raspberry Pi 4 micro-computer. The philosophy behind the StarGO2 is providing the user with a control system independent from normal PC, remote controllable in all its functions using a smart device such as a smartphone or a tablet, not excluding, however, the traditional use of computers of all types and brands, wired or wireless connected to system. Being based on Raspberry PI, the StarGo2 is natively provided of all Linux based applications necessary to perform full astrophotography functions. The presence of INDI environment allows to control almost all the devices (cameras, filter wheels, rotator, etc. including even observatory domes) which are necessary to perform locally or remotely controlled astrophotography sessions. It allows also an extreme flexibility for those users that prefer to make use of the traditional computer client applications such as Cart du Ciel (Star Chart), TheSkyX, SkySafari, Stellarium and other planetarium programs, and SGP, Nina, CCD Ciel, and other astrophotography tools. This full compatibility is assured by the adoption of Alpaca communication protocol that allows the use of traditional ASCOM platform drivers for native INDI devices.
 
The StarGo2 Pro Multiplatform Astronomical Control System as a Stand Alone version can be used to control the M-due mount as well as every other Avalon Instruments mounts, replacing the StarGo GoTo Control System.
